Farmington River Trail

My friend Rebecca introduced me to one of the most beautiful nature sites in Connecticut. The Farmington River Trail runs through many different towns- we went to the one in Burlington which is about a half hour drive from us. The waterfall is so nice- there were people fishing. I would really like to try tubing down the river one day.

Some fuel before the walk ;) Simple shrimp- 1/3 box of whole wheat rotini and 1/4 of penne
The trail reminds me of one of my favorite childhood books, Bridge to Terabithia
All of these trees are praising their Lord- SubhanAllah.

The river's current was steady enough to mesmerize but still calm not to feel too threatening.
Gnats in the river- Alhamdulillah they are not on us!
 Sumaya taking it all in
 On top of my head...
 Nice picture, Ahmed!
I guess salmon is in trouble in our neck of the woods :(
 The waterfall through the trees
 SubhanAllah
It would all be perfect except for the graffiti.
 A most amazing view

On a plank- there was a man in front of me with an extra long fishing pole- said he hasn't caught anything all day.
